Jacqueline & Grant’s Elegant October wedding at Shadowbrook at Shrewsbury was an unique yet classic at the same time.
As their wedding stationery designer I worked closely with Jacqueline on making sure the invitations set the tone for their unforgettable day, but also put forth her love of sparkles and unique design elements.
Custom Wedding Invitations for Elegant Shadowbrook at Shrewsbury Wedding
The color palette for the invitations was black, white and gold as a nod to the Great Gatsby vibe of Shadowbrook at Shrewsbury.
To wow the guests from the first moment, a custom sketch of the venue was printed in gold ink on the custom invitation envelope. Mimicking the gates of Shadowbrookk at Shrewsbury, Jacquelie chose my custom gatefold invitation with a monograrm on the outside. We used crystals to adorn the front for extra sparkle.
“I was on the hunt for wedding invitations that were unique and a vendor who could provide me with details to “wow” our guests. I was on Pinterest one night and from my searches your wedding invitations showed and I absolutely loved them, which sparked my interest in reaching out. The turnaround time was so quick I think we had a video call the next day. On that call is where I was truly sold because of your professionalism, bubbly personality, and willingness to create gorgeous stationary pieces. We immediately clicked and I had such a good feeling about working with you. It was the best decision because our invitations were absolutely gorgeous, unique to us, and our guests raved about them!“
Elegant Shadowbrook at Shrewsbury Wedding

Shadowbrook at Shresbuy was the first venue the couple toured after they got engaged.
“We fell in love with it the moment we pressed the button at the front gates to be let into venue and as we drove up the pathway leading to it. We loved that it was secluded from anything else around it and how perfect every detail was from the manicured grounds to the gorgeous ballroom inside it. Shadowbrook had absolutely everything we wanted and checked off every box in terms of elegance and service. “
Their color palette was: white, black, and gold, with a touch of light pink/blush for our florals. The couple chose those colors to bring out colors of Shadowbrook – which boasts “Great Gatsby” vibes.
Wedding Reception at Shadowbrook at Shrewsbury Wedding
Shrewsbury, New Jersey
The groomsmen wore a traditional black tuxedo to reflect on a classic, elegant theme. The bridesmaids wore matching cashmere colored dresses with a side slit to show off the nude/rhinestone heels that matched the rhinestone belt that was added to the waistline of their dresses.
Jacqueline’s favorite moment was sharing a first look with her soon to be husband. The couple shared their vows privately to each other.
“ It made everything more special that we had that moment together’
She also had her florist create a second bouquet for to dedicate to her mom on the day of the wedding.
“After the formal speeches were completed, I surprised everyone by saying a few words to honor my mom for all that she has done for us and for her love and support. “
To make their wedding at Shadowbrook at Shrewsbury even more magical, Jacquline and Grant had a visit from two surprise guests:
“Our two Siberian huskies mean the world to us, so we wanted to include them into our wedding as much as we could. Our signature drinks included our dogs, our cocktail hour napkins featured them, Grant’s wedding day socks had their faces on them, we had custom wax seal stamps made with their faces, we had custom figurines of them created that were on our wedding cake, we provided dog treat favors to our guests with stickers of our dogs thanking our guests for celebrating us, we had their photos on our sweetheart table so they were with us during dinner, and we even hired dog handlers to take them to the venue on our wedding day to take photos with us!”
